Private Yoga Instruction
Private yoga instruction is for students who wish to accomplish specific goals best addressed in a personal, one-on-one setting. Work can include deepening a current practice or introducing new poses and techniques to an existing practice. Alex has synthesized a unique approach to Yoga that combines his knowledge of human physical anatomy and physiology, yoga asana, and yoga breathing with a unique and practical approach to human emotional/energetic anatomy to create a powerful healing system.
Yoga can be used as a complimentary healing technique for issues such as injury recovery, illness recovery, digestive issues, breathing difficulties, neurological trauma, joint issues, and other conditions. Please email for more information.

Yoga and Mindfulness for Stress Relief
With Yoga and Mindfulness for Stress Relief, Alex uses ancient and modern techniques to bring mindfulness, more peace, and more ease to everyday life. Alex works with classical and modified techniques from many traditions including discussion, yoga poses, breath work, meditation, and journaling to help reduce stress and anxiety, deepen relationships, find purpose and direction in life, or anything for which you are seeking to help and change. Alex draws on and shares from almost 20 years of study in various traditions including Zen and Tibetan Buddhism, Classical and Tantric Yoga, Advaita Vedanta, as well as modern self-inquiry techniques and traditions such as A Course In Miracles and The Work of Byron Katie. Selecting from these ideas, Alex synthesizes a unique approach that is tailored to his client's specific needs and makes these ideas relevant and helpful in the context of modern everyday life. Somatic Mindfulness
Somatic Mindfulness is a body-based mindfulness practice that involves breathing techniques and meditation to help unravel deeply held physical and emotional tension in the body. This technique can work well with unconscious holding and tension that presents in both physically and emotionally. This work is also available remotely over Skype.
Alex often partners with Cambridge MA based Integrative Psychotherapist Amber Barke, LISCW, to use Somatic Mindfulness as a complimentary technique to guide survivors of trauma through their unique healing process.
